The Intercollegiate Studies Institute in co-sponsorship with John Jay College of Criminal Justice and The Manhattan Institute, is hosting an educational conference on "The Rule of Law in Free Society: The Prospects for Law Enforcement." This conference will address concerns about the way media attention and public scrutiny, as well as policies and procedures, have a direct bearing upon the application of arrest powers and the use of force by police officers.
