Building on five decades of educating for liberty, ISI has launched a $54 million national campaign to renew the American tradition of teaching each generation of college students the principles that sustain a free and humane society.

On October 23, 2003, ISI President T. Kenneth Cribb, Jr., announced that ISI had already reached nearly half its campaign goal. The campaign runs through 2006.

Landmark Objectives:

Provide students and teachers the resources necessary for college-age Americans to understand and articulate basic economic thinking, the moral and political tradition of the West, and the U.S. constitutional system as designed by America's Founders.
Employ the latest technologies in communicating the case for the free society to greater numbers of students, parents, and teachers.
Improve America's Civic Literacy by:

          1) Developing a scientific measurement of higher education's effectiveness in teaching basic American history and fundamental civic principles.
          2) Establishing a comprehensive and recurring evaluation that will encourage universities to improve their success in transmitting core knowledge.
          3) Conducting an ongoing communications effort to awaken the American public to the urgent need for strengthening education for responsible citizenship.

Conduct an aggressive marketing campaign to articulate the case for ISI's campaign and to make ISI's program resources available to students and faculty on virtually every college and university campus in America.
Endow critical elements of ISI's educational program whose permanence will be indispensable to nurturing in each generation an appreciation of fundamental American values.
