| Volunteer in the ISI Campus Representative
Program
ISI’s motto is “to educate for liberty.”
Sadly, the academy today is highly politicized terrain. Various
ideologies are substituted for real scholarship. Intellectual conformity
to these ideologies is valued over the commitment to standards of
excellence and intellectual rigor in the pursuit of the truth. Instead
of engaging the Western intellectual tradition, more often than
not that tradition is vilified.
ISI’s role is to provide a corrective to this
trend. Perhaps the most effective way we go about this is through
our Campus Representative program. With the cooperation of ISI’s
Campus Representatives or Faculty
Associates, ISI seeks to focus discussion on the permanent things
that sustain a free society.
Campus Representatives
and Faculty Associates also
play a vital role in introducing interested students and faculty
to ISI, its programs, and its publications. As a Campus Representative or
Faculty Associate, you will receive free books and publications,
advance notice of events, invitations to conferences, and individualized
attention by ISI staff. The staff will also provide you with practical
education and intellectual and often financial support as you work
to enrich your campus with ISI programs.
